Wild Flowers Walk on Wolf Creek Narrows

Description

In early May, take a walk along Wolf Creek to see the spring wildflower blooms at their peak. Learn how to  identify plants by their flowers, leaves and growth habit.  We will also discuss some medicinal properties and  folklore of plants. The relatively flat trail along the creek is teeming with colorful flora diversity. Those who are  more adventurous can do the entire 1.5 mile loop up a steep hill to witness a carpet of blooming trillium as far  as the eye can see. Location:  Slippery Rock, Wolf Creek Narrows Natural Area.   We’ll meet at the parking lot at the west side of the bridge over Wolf Creek.   Note: Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged.
