Revelation is the last book in the Bible and is very apocalyptic. The writer John is not only describing a vision of the end times, but also depicting the consummation toward which the complete biblical message of redemption is focused. Using symbolic imagery, he encourages the faithful throughout the ages, in the face of persecution and hostility, to stand fast and not give up hope in God’s eternal love and deliverance. Come join a discussion over four classes that will help lift up all our spirits.
Shakespeare had a keen interest in monarchy as a subject for both illustrating British history and giving an opportunity for his skills. When I saw the current map of Washington's 1753 Trail and compared it with the journal entries of both Washington and Gist, I knew there were significant variations on the section northward between Logstown Trading Post (at Leetsdale PA) and Venango ( Franklin PA), and southward from Venango to Guyasuta's Town ( Etna, PA). This presentation, gives a little background about Native Villages in Western Pa and a more precise route Washington took from village to village, through parts of his journey. It also pinpoints the exact location of "the Barrens", which changes the route they took home.
